James Richard Medley, 74, of Millstadt, IL. died at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
James was the son of the late Jesse and Cecilia, nee Sikora, Medley.
He was a boilermaker by profession and a member of Boilermakers Union Local 363, a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL and an avid hunter, fisherman, and thoroughbred horse racing enthusiast.
Surviving are his siblings, Thomas “Tom” Medley, Millstadt, IL, Ann Sefcik, Waco, TX, Cathy (Paul) Weber, Dupo, IL, John (Sherry) Medley, Edwardsville, IL, and Peter “Pete” Medley, Millstadt, IL; nieces and nephews, Sandy (Brad) Henry, Abilene, TX, Cathy Sefcik, Austin, TX, Susie (Rice) Mellen, Waco, TX, Adam Weber, Dupo, IL, Luke (Michelle) Weber, Columbus, OH, Frank (Jamie) Weber, Caseyville, IL, Lauren (Nic Voges) Medley, Red Bud, IL, Brooke (Adam Barker) Medley, Hyattsville, MD, Joseph (Erin Phillips) Derr, Columbus, SC, Jeremy Derr, Belleville, IL, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at the Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt, IL and from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at St. James Church with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery.
